Política de Assistência Social: entre o familismo e a desfamilização (Social assistance policy: between familism and defamilization)

Abstract

: After the welfare state crisis in the middle of the 20th century, the national ideology is legitimized and with it the state’s retraction. This characteristic brought to the public policies severe consequences among them, social assistance. The Brazilian welfare has been suffered hypertrophy since the beginning of 2000, despite that the situation is permeated by contrast and recently minimized and selective. This study is theoretical research of bibliographical and documentary type aims to understand the particularities, advances, and retreats of the social assistance that take it or not overcoming familism. The work conclusion is that services created in politics in the years 2000, nationally typified include defamiliarizing aspects. However, their operationalization forms, target public, objectives and the resumption of the orthodox neoliberalism reaffirmed as a family policy.
