Abstract

In this paper, we propose a Regge-pole model with a Gaussian potential for studying hadron scattering at high energies. In the diffraction approximation and the consequences arising from the analyticity and unitarity of the scattering amplitude, an expression is obtained for the matrix of the scattering amplitude, for the cross section, and for the slope parameter of the diffraction cone for the reactions a+A® B+b .
