The results showed that the spectrum of plasma in MS of the spleen <em>qi</em> deficiency is different from healthy subjects in metabonomics (<em>P</em> &lt; 0.05). Abstract

This study aimed at analyzing small molecule metabolites c in plasma in order to find the spectra of plasma in metabolic syndromes (MS) of spleen qi deficiency, which is different from other kinds of deficiency. The basic documents related to subjects were collected in combination with the diagnostic criteria of metabolic syndrome and spleen qi deficiency. UPLC-Q-TOF-MS was used in the separation of plasma metabolites. The results showed that the spectrum of plasma in MS of the spleen qi deficiency is different from healthy subjects in metabonomics (P < 0.05). It is concluded that three compounds are possibly the latent markers of MS; another three compounds may be the potential markers of the spleen qi deficiency.
