In this book, queer subjects can find a welcoming space for their experiences, an approach to the unconscious worthy of them. Saketopoulou describes participants to exigent sadism as bearing ‘two distinct experiences in an intense moment of intimate connections’ (p. 185): that, I would argue, can also be said about her readers and herself.
