Abstract
The primary contribution of this work lies in the derivation of the exact characteristic function (and hence, the mean and variance) of the capacity of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems for semicorrelated flat-fading channels. A Gaussian approximation to the exact capacity results is suggested and evaluated for its accuracy.
