Abstract
The Editors and the Editorial Board, of Art Psychotherapy: An International Journal are pleased to present to its readers this Symposium in an attempt to convey their appreciative understanding of the importance for the creative arts scientist to share actively in the sciences' body of sound literature which is rich in its traditional content and in its continuing surge toward experimental validation and emergent empirical excellence. Further, it is an attempt to encourage scholarly contributions from within and without the specialty disciplines of the creative arts sciences and, therefore, restates this Journal's criteria and guidelines for reporting investigative work for publication. Finally, it discusses the relationships and interactions — both in theory and in practice — between art, poetry, dance, and music therapy.
