The Mann-Kendall test revealed a decrease of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds at the catchment outlet since 2003. The principal component analysis divided nine study catchments into three main groups according to biogeochemical composition (natural, partly anthropogenically influenced, subsurface drainage).
