Abstract
By contrast with the conventional ionic liquids, owing to the high absorption capacity of CO2, the task-specific ionic liquids are very hopeful to replace the traditional alkanolamine which is volatile, corrosive strongly and easy oxygenated at high temperature. However, when their absorption capacity can be more greatly enhanced by amine functionalization than the conventional ionic liquids, the viscosity will also be increased. Neverthless, this adverse factor can be overcome by making use of supported ionic liquid porous carrier(such as porous SiO2, membranes). ln this paper, the characteristics of the task-specific ionic liquids absorbing CO2 under mild conditions are mainly introduced. The main influence factors on the absorption rate and absorption capacity and the appropriate solutions in practical application are discussed In addition, the developmental prospect of task-specific Ionic Liquids is presented.
