Information System Management on Asset Management in PT. PLN West Java Transmission Regional

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) is an electric company own by Indonesia Government. As one of the business unit in PLN, PT. PLN West Java Transmission Regional (UIT JBB) has leading role to managed 32.366 MVA in 14 Extra High Voltage Substation (GITET), 125 High Voltage Substation (GI), also 970,1 kms Extra High Voltage transmission and 2.146,9 Kms high voltage transmission spread in vast areas in Banten and Great Jakarta provinces. This fat assets has a lot of variant used in assets management activities. Since UIT JBB already certified by ISO 55001, all activities must be well managed including data assets and information. This paper will described in how UIT JBB managed data assets and information from bottom to top and the strategy to achieve the goal to provide a good quality data and accessible to all user in UIT JBB. Previously, there are lack and poor of data assets providing and how this was impacted to the planning and decision making in UIT JBB. Some improvement has been taken to minimize those impacts. One of the strategy is by measure the risk of poor data quality and also create new rules to bring dispersed information from the field to the accessible information system management. A more general concept of integrated management can therefore become attractive to implement in UIT JBB.
