Abstract

Infectious Agent Carbapenemase producing Enterobacteriaceae or Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, specifically Klebsiella species and E. coli, are gram-negative bacilli that have the ability to break down the carbapenem antibiotic rendering it ineffective.
