Abstract

Downy mildew infections induced stomata] closure in pearl millet. Diffusive resistance of adaxial and abaxial foliar surfaces and leaf diffusive resistance of downy mildew infected pearl millet plants were significantly higher than those of healthy plants. Significant decrease in rate of transpiration and water output were also observed in pearl millet on account of downy mildew infections.
