Abstract
We demonstrate that non-reciprocal directionality of nonlinear generation is inherent to and realistically observable in the nonlinear multipolar response of nanostructures. Alternatively, nonlinear multipolar interference can ensure a directionally selective inhibition of the nonlinear process.
