The Heart Outcome Prevention Evaluation (HOPE) study evaluated the effects of ramipril in patients with a high risk for cardiovascular events without pre-existing left ventricular dysfunction or heart failure. Abstract
Several clinical studies demonstrate a beneficial role of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors in patients with myocardial infarction, hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
