We assume that designs that support micro-moment needs well are those that give users more control over the system and constitute a lighter user burden. We test our hypothesis via a two-week between-subject field study in which participants used our system and provided feedback. User-initiated and mix-initiated intention mechanisms show higher perceived active control, and the additional controls do not add to user burdens. Abstract
