Abstract
T o assess the impact of artificial leaf defoliation of Populus deltoides on its different growth parameters, a study was conducted on G-48 clone under field condition and four defoliation treatments, i.e. 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, were done in addition to control. Defoliation pattern was simulated with insect defoliator Clostera spp. feeding and the experiment was conducted from July to December. Contributions to these special issues ‘which receive widespread attention’ are from leading scientists in India and abroad.
