Abstract
We analyze the design and performance of unique DFB-based MIR Raman fiber lasers with potential for narrow linewidth (< 1 MHz) operation at any arbitrary wavelength in the 2.5 - 9.5 µm spectral region; pump power thresholds are anticipated to be < 30 mW.
