Tourismbenchmarkingandtheassessmentoftourismmanagementperformancesareacrucialand challengingtaskinthedirectionofevaluatingtourismsustainabilityandreshapingtourismactivities. Theproposedefficiencyassessmentprocedureisbasedondataenvelopmentanalysis(DEA).DEAis amethodologyforevaluatingtherelativeefficiencywhenfacingmultipleinputandoutput.Although themethodologyisextremelyversatile,forthesakeofexemplification,inthisarticleitisappliedto theevaluationandcomparisonofsustainabletourismmanagementofIndia.
