Abstract
. Central Java Province is a region with relatively high poverty in 2020 of 11.09 percent, the second highest in Java Island. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the poverty rate is influenced by factors such as education (dropout rate), economy (unemployment rate), location (distance to the city center), economy (Gross Regional Domestic Product and inflation) and the Human Development Index (IPM). This study analyzes the extent to which these factors affect the level of poverty in Central Java Province. Data analysis using linear regression. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that have a significant influence on the level of poverty so that local governments can focus more on determining poverty alleviation policy priorities. The results of the study show that there are variables that have a significant effect on the poverty rate. The variable is the unemployment rate, followed by GRDP, IPM, inflation, school dropout rate and finally the distance to the city center. The implications of the results of this study can be a recommendation for the Regional Government in making policies as an effort to alleviate poverty in Central Java. Efforts can be made by opening jobs, improving the quality of human resources, facilitating investment, increasing leading sectors, stabilizing wages, and providing educational assistance.
