Abstract

The incidence of malignant tumours is increasing year by year, but no statistics are available nationwide. The purpose of this review is to raise awareness of the increase in the incidence of malignant tumours in adults during 2014, compared with 2013. In this article, an analysis was performed on the frequency of each type of tumour and its relationship to world literature, based on a count of patients throughout year 2013.

Objective and methods

To determine the incidence of malignant tumours in patients diagnosed in ISSSTEP for first time in 2014.

To achieve this goal, a register was compiled from the files of the department of pathology, and were reviewed to ensure that they were not recurrent tumours.

This register was approved by the head of department of the pathology institute.
