For this purpose, methods for solving differential equations, Microsoft Excel application with the «Solution Search» function, graphoanalytic and geometric methods were used. The justification was based on the functional dependence Vт/Vc + ΔV1/ΔV2 = 1, describing the relationship between the parameters of the device and the object of study. The use of these methods allowed us to obtain a single result. Calculations have established that the optimal ratio between the volume of the test body and the cylinder for the sample (measuring cylinder) is 0,5. This ratio allows obtaining reliable results in the course of experimental studies, as well as simplifying the measurement procedure. Abstract

The article describes the procedure for mathematical substantiation technological parameters of a device for measuring the apparent density of porous materials. For this purpose, methods for solving differential equations, Microsoft Excel application with the «Solution Search» function, graphoanalytic and geometric methods were used. The justification was based on the functional dependence Vт/Vc + ΔV1/ΔV2 = 1, describing the relationship between the parameters of the device and the object of study.
