The objective of this study was therefore to identify the sensitivity of growth stages of Binadhan-8, Binadhan-10, BRRI dhan28 and BRRI dhan47 to salt stress by irrigating the crops with fresh water (control), and saline water of 6, 9 and 12 dS m1 at establishment, tillering, panicle formation, flowering, maturity and all growth stages of the crops. The experiment was laid out in a split-split pot arrangement following a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The establishment and flowering stages of the rice cultivars were found to be the most sensitive to salt stress.
