Abstract

A map of land use in western Slovakia was made on the basis of the optico-analog interpretation of multispectral space photographs taken with a Russian KATE 140 multispectral camera. The method followed consisted of the following steps: compiling a selective interpretation key, interpretation of the syntheses in colour for the needs of identfying forms of land use on the map, compiling interpretation schemes, the photo-optical transformation of these interpretations into topographical maps, the automated preparation of documents for printing and, finally, their polygraphic processing.
