Data analysis used conventional content analysis.Results − The experience of mothers in early complementary feeding of their infants were explored using five themes. These findings were that mothers perceived the benefits of early complementary feeding, infant cues, the need to work outside the home, insufficient breastmilk supply, receiving advice regarding early complementary feeding from grandmothers, and cultural beliefs.Conclusion − Mothers perceived the benefit of early complementary feeding for their infants and themselves.
