Abstract

Broadband Power Line Communications (BPLC) meritoriously uses the existing power line system as a high speed data communication medium. the power line was initially considered to allocate electrical power in an effective way. Electrical wiring was never intended to serve as a communication medium as it presents a number of unfavourable characteristics; such as varying impedance, signal attenuation, and noise. This paper presents the modeling and analysis for different topologies of the powerline channel of the indoor network using MATLAB software. Also, getting the analytical expressions of the transfer function for the power line channel, to explore the validity of the channel transfer function.
