Abstract

In this study, an MPMS Lite app is developed to reduce the digital information gap caused by the aging of field workers and the current status of the domestic mining industry related to the digital transformation of mines. Accordingly, daily work reports used in mine sites were secured and analyzed. Subsequently, the interface of MPMS Lite was designed based on the result of the daily work report analysis. The interface was designed in four modes by equipment and difficulty of use, allowing even elderly users have the chance to use the interface. As a result of selecting one domestic mine as a research area and conducting the operation test and satisfaction survey of the developed MPMS Lite, prospective users exhibited overall satisfaction with the design, convenience, and usability of the application. The MPMS Lite app is expected to enhance work efficiency related to production at the mining site and shall contribute to mitigating the digital information gap in the mining industry.
