Abstract

The duplex steels are widely used in the area of oil exploration, both in structure and equipment. These steels provide excellent mechanical properties combined with excellent corrosion resistance. The welding of this material takes into account the loss of alloying elements, which are directly linked to the excellent properties of this material, this loss being compensated by the addition of metal during welding.
