Abstract

This study investigates the distribution of potential kimberlitic pipes in the Kafur-Masari-Malumfashi region of northwestern Nigeria from satellite gravity and regional aeromagnetic data beyond the Kafur kimberlite pipe discovered previously. The interpretation indicates the presence of some roughly circular to oval shaped analytical signal anomalies which coincide with locations of concealed kimberlitic pipes.
