The data that these programs use to grade and rate safety can be 2 to 3 years in arrears, so we decided to develop a proactive, disciplined strategy to identify areas in need of quick allocation of resources. With the rapid advancement of improvements, Scripps Health is now targeting consistently high marks throughout the organization. We prioritized several initiatives to build a systemwide approach for the five hospitals in the system. The initial results have been heartening.
