Monopole antenna simulations using a radial guide field matching method
A radial guide field matching method (RGFMM) is used to calculate the self and mutual impedances of monopole antennas in free space. The effect of radial guide height for RGFMM is presented. Comparison between input impedance values obtained using the radial guide field matching method and the free space method of moments (FSMoM) shows good agreement when a sufficiently large height is assumed for the radial guide in the RGFMM calculations.
