The complete system consists of an array of solar panels, a Cuk converter with fuzzy logic control (FLC) as a voltage regulator, a single phase inverter, and a microcontrol (MC). The MC is used to implement the control of the Cuk converter as a voltage regulator. The converter has to be very efficient, in order to transfer more energy to the DC load than a directly coupled system. This is achieved by using a simple soft-switched topology.
