The expert transformer monitoring system in substation structure
We describe the reasons to design and apply advanced expert “on-line” systems to extend the typical power transformer supervision. A new specialized devices are introduced to enhance supervising ability. We demonstrate that the usage of efficient network communication simplifies their application, integration with existing systems, maintenance and service. We present a list of messages, warnings and alarms which was created to inform directly and quickly about dangers and expanding incorrect processes. Our experience allows to base the opinion, that the expert monitoring efficiency and usefulness depend on the connection to the existing station dispatch systems and remote supervising centers.
