It has led to the development of speed and reliability of fault locating methods for transmission and distribution systems. It can be difficult to locate the fault. There are various methods for locating in series compensated lines with series equipment. This paper presents a novel fault locating algorithm on series compensated lines with the presence of Thyristor Controlled Capacitor Compensator (TCSC). The proposed algorithm was presented and the simulation was modeled in MATLAB software.
