A wide power range EVCS is required for multistep charging of light electric vehicle (LEV). A robust controller is designed for wide voltage range EVCS using composite scheme of switching, which uses three degree of freedom. First, a VSC with LCL filter, is designed to regulate the power quality and to maintain the DC link voltage. Then, a non-linear state space model of dual active bridge (DAB) for battery voltage and battery current, is derived using Fourier series of composite switching scheme. The proposed EVCS has robust performance, zero steady-state error and wide voltage range.
