According to aerial surveys, the Baikal Teal average density in Western Chukotka's tundras was 0.08 individuals / km2 in 2021. Birds of this species were recorded everywhere: on the Kyttyk Peninsula and Aion Island, in the Chaun-Pucheveem delta, in the Pegtymel River delta, and in the Apapelgino settlement precincts.
