A performance calculation model for all kinds of fix-pad journal bearing based on unified coordinate system is presented in the paper. With bearing center as the origin, this model establishes a unified coordinate system to acquire coordinates of shaft and pads centers. Eccentricity ratio and attitude angle of shaft are calculated via their coordinates. Geometric description of fix-pad journal bearing is unified in this model.
