Ethical leaders perform their duties with sincerity; they are straightforward and trustworthy with high values of morality and integrity which have great impact on treat staff with respect and without cronyism. Health care organizations are confronting significant challenges as they make efforts to improve ethical leadership behavior. Aim : this study aimed at investigating the relationship between ethical leadership behavior and organizational cronyism among staff nurses. Research design : a descriptive correlational study design was used. Setting: the study was conducted at obstetrics and gynecological hospital affiliated to ain-shams university hospitals. Subjects : the study subjects include 163 staff nurses. Tools of data collection: ethical leadership behavior questionnaire and organizational cronyism scale were used to collect data for this study. Results: slightly less than three quarters (74.84%) of studied staff nurses had moderate perception level regarding ethical leadership behavior and less than three quarters (72.39%) of studied staff nurses had moderate organizational cronyism level. Conclusion: there was a negative correlation between ethical leadership behavior and organizational cronyism among staff nurses. Recommendations : health care organizations have to ensure ethical leadership behavior and map out strategies to create a supportive work environment.
