The paper proposes the adoption of a completely decentralized synchronization procedure based on the consensus to (i) detect the presence of a new added node, (ii) avoid that it perturbs the synchronization accuracy, and (iii) force the new node to converge to the common sense of time of the already synchronized nodes.
