Further thinking about the double-edged sword effect of digital media use on mental health among children and adolescents

With the coming of digital era, children and adolescents are generally exposed to digital media. Digital media is like a double-edged sword, while providing children and adolescents with learning opportunities and increasing social activities and support, it also brings a series of health risks. This article summarizes the current situation of children and adolescents exposure to digital media, focuses on the relationship between children and adolescents digital media use and mental health, and proposes future research directions based on current research progress, and advocates to explore the direction and potential biological mechanism of the association. 【摘要】 随着“数字化”时代的到来, 儿童青少年普遍暴露于数字媒体。数字媒体就像一把双刃剑, 在给儿童青少年带来 学习机会和增加社交活动和支持的同时, 也带来一系列健康风险。本文对儿童青少年数字媒体暴露现状进行总结, 聚焦数 字媒体使用与儿童青少年心理健康的关联, 结合当前研究进展提出未来研究方向, 倡导积极探索数字媒体使用与儿童青少 年心理健康风险关联的方向性和潜在生物学机制。
