Above filtering techniques used on cotton leaf images to enhance their appearance for diagnosis purpose. In the paper various techniques are studied to find optimal solution by evaluating parameters Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and MAXERR values of the image after de-noising.
