Taking in considerations the drawbacks of other biometric recognition methods, hand vein biometric is selected, as it is efficacious, guaranteed, secure and highly reliable for identification, authentication of individuals. So as to enable biometric authentication, cost effective scanning devices are brought into use. The device includes the use of No IR camera which is used for acquisition of vein image and a matrix of NIR LEDs which is helps to capture only the veins in the camera.
