The bracing system is one of the most effective and reliable solutions in seismic-resistant design for frame structures. In this study, the step-by-step of design for a bracing system according to the displacement-based design method is detailed. A typical study is performed on a steel-braced frame structure, subjected to earthquake ground motion to evaluate the effectiveness of the solution.
