Two ToA estimation methods using ML criteria basing on peak-detection will be studied deeply. In search and subtract algorithm, according to the ML criteria, we adjust the observation parameter which is used to calculate the amplitude estimation. We also propose a quick searching method and two corresponding stopping criteria for this algorithm. A cluster-peak-detection-based algorithm will be shown in the paper. To an Estimation for UWB Localization Basing on Peak-Detection
