The Evaluation of Visual Fatigue for Users' Magazines Reading
In this study, we investigated the effect of image category and color combination on visual fatigue and eye-tracking performance. Thirty subjects were recruited in this study. A two way factorial design was used to investigate the effect of image category (women, men, jewelry, animals and vehicles) and color combination (yellow on red, blue on yellow, yellow on black and white on blue) on change of critical fusion frequency (CFF) and fixation time. The ANOVA results indicated that color combination was significant on change of CFF, where more visual fatigue was found on yellow on red and blue on yellow than that on yellow on black and white on blue. The results also showed that image category was a significant factor on fixation time, while the lowest fatigue was found on women image and the longest fixation was found on vehicle image.
