Most existing works focus on the single transmission session between transceivers. We expand the MIMO precoder design to take into account the significant role that ARQ (Automatic Repeat reQuest) may play in practical systems. We investigate the design of linear precoders for maximizing the ergodic capacity of MIMO-ARQ systems.
