Electromagnetic Transition Process Algorithm for Various Types of Short Circuits
The study of transients with various types of short circuit is a difficult task. During transients, dangerous overvoltage's can occur in the system, several times higher than the levels for which the network isolation and its protection are designed. Improving the design and operation of complex electric power systems (EPS) is associated with the need for continuous development and improvement of calculation methods and analysis of steady and transient conditions. The successful solution of these problems substantially depends on the effectiveness of mathematical models for studying various EES modes and the versatility of the calculation algorithm. Therefore, this article presents a mathematical model and calculation algorithm for the study of transients with various types of short circuit.
