The parameters such as insertion loss, return loss, size of filter designs, fractional bandwidth are studied. Different techniques like coupling of microstrip lines, addition of passive devices on silicon, combination of single multimode resonator (MMR) and variable section impedance, use of dielectric resonators and dual mode ring resonator, combination of band pass characteristics with negative permittivity material, embedded structure of HPF and LPF, interdigital coupling of ring resonators and open circuit stubs are reviewed and analyzed.
