This paper introduces a new form of bilateral filter, improving image denoising by introducing kernel based on edge detection algorithm. The proposed method applies pre conceptualized bilateral filtering along with Robert edge detection kernel. Influence of salt and pepper type of noise is reduced by the new approach slightly better than other filtering methods. Results of the experiment gave a practical explanation that performance of the proposed method is competitive with the standard bilateral filter.
