ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DA CONCENTRAÇÃO DE METAIS PESADOS NO AQUÍFERO BAURU EM MATO GROSSO DO SUL E EM SÃO PAULO
Economic development with consequent use and land cover can accentuate groundwater vulnerability. Heavy metals are contaminants of great concern in aquifers, due to their toxicity at certain concentration and difficult remediation. This study aimed the analysis of copper, chromium, iron, manganese and zinc concentrations present in Bauru Aquifer System in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and in the State of São Paulo. It was verified that Mato Grosso do Sul has higher concentrations than those of São Paulo for copper, iron, manganese and zinc in relation to the values analyzed. Although the studied period is restricted to conclusions, this study even verified areas belonging to the same aquifer system can present distinct hydrochemical characteristics, as verified between the two States.
