Performance analysis of MIMO-OFDM system with transceiver hardware impairments
In this paper we analyse the MIMO-OFDM model in which we compares the Capacity and Finite SNR multiplexing gain by varying the SNR and number of antennas with or without considering the hardware impairments i.e. quantization noise, non-linearties of amplifiers, I-Q imbalance and phase noise etc. The ideal capacity of MIMO-OFDM system increases unboundedly with the high degrees of freedom or asymptotic gain. But the transceiver hardware impairments limit this channel capacity and Finite SNR multiplexing gain of MIMO-OFDM system, so we can not neglect the fundamental impacts of these hardware impairments {Kappa G (0.05 0.1)} in the high SNR region. Also the channel Capacity increases with SNR and number of antennas but it decreases as the level of hardware impairments increases. On the other hand Finite SNR multiplexing gain converges more and more to the high SNR limit as the level of hardware impairments increases.
