The filter operation is based on the straight-edge ferrite resonator (made from Y-type hexaferrite) symmetrically coupled to the input and output microstrip transmission lines. The filter demonstrated magnetic tunability within 8–12 GHz frequency range by the in-plane bias magnetic field and electric control of the passband center frequency due to current-induced nonlinear magnetoelectric effect.
